The right-wing party on the one hand demeaned one of the core concepts of Indian constitution – secularism – and on the other worked covertly to project Congress party as a monster feeding on gullible citizens. Public perception, before the smear campaign of the right-wing party, on secularism was it had a positive value. Bosnia and Herzegovinian Ambassador  Dr. Sabit Subasic  believes the intractable conflict in Kashmir valley has drastically affected the state’s economic growth and that the tourism sector has been a victim of negative publicity. A cabinet minister in Jammu and Kashmir government, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, who is also a senior leader of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), termed the mysterious braid chopping incidents as a “phobia and a kind of hysteria”.
